BREAKING NEWS
We understand Tottenham are discussing a deal to sign Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.
Gomes is a similar profile to Ross Barkley and Barcelona, who want want to sell some players, have put both him and Arda Turan on the market.
Spurs remain interested in Barkley but have been put off making a move for him in this window due to his injury.

So we are trying to sign a player voted "worst signing" by Barca fans or as a back-up, a Bournemouth reserve from last season to play under a manager in the last chance saloon.
Excellent top class recruitment that should take us to the Championship. I mean The Championship not the Premier League Championship...

Spanish deadline is tomorrow............. so plenty of time for Barca to sort out Coutinho deal.
Gomes is nothing like Carvalho though so its not an either/or.

Dominic King: So it seems that Andre Gomes is leaning towards joining West Ham at the moment. He is close friends with Jose Fonte from the Portugal squad and likes the idea of joining up with him.
Tottenham, however, are pushing hard, with Mauricio Pochettino eager to add the midfielder, who moved to Barcelona from Valencia 12 months ago. There is, though, a significant caveat.
Barcelona are unwilling to let him leave at this given moment for the simple reason they have not been able to find a replacement. There is still plenty of mileage in this particular story before the deadline at 11pm.
